Juan de la Cruz Ramos Cano, better known as Juande Ramos, is a former soccer player and coach born in Ciudad Real. He began his soccer career in Elche (Alicante) from 1974/1997. He won the award for best coach of the year from the Federation of Associations of Sports Journalists of Andalusia.

Juan de la Cruz Ramos Cano, better known as Juande Ramos, is a former soccer player and coach born in Ciudad Real. He began his soccer career in Elche (Alicante) from 1974/1997. He won the award for best coach of the year from the Federation of Associations of Sports Journalists of Andalusia.

His greatest career path is as a coach. He is directing an enviable list of equipment for a technician with a recognized career. It was at Elche Club Fútbol where he made his debut as a coach. He oversaw the youth team for a year. Then, for two more seasons, he led the subsidiary, Ilicitano, in the third division. During the 1994/1995 season he led Levante Unión Deportiva. With the Valencian Club he was group champion. The following season he made a new leap in category and signed for Club Deportivo Logroñés.

The success made the Fútbol Club Barcelona hire him to direct his subsidiary, Barcelona "B", in the second division. Later, he joined Rayo Vallecano de Madrid. His three seasons at the helm of Rayo Vallecano probably coincided with the greatest successes achieved by the Madrid club. In 2001 he signed for Real Betis Balompié, where he stayed for one season. He managed to get the Verdiblanco team to qualify for the UEFA Cup by finishing the league in 5th place.

During the 2003/04 campaign, he coached Málaga Club Fútbol, which he led to 10th place in the championship. He then signed for Sevilla Fútbol Club, in which he achieved some of the greatest success in the club's history, winning the first European title by winning the UEFA Cup and winning the European Super Cup. In the 2006/2007 campaign, he won the second UEFA Cup and the Copa del Rey. He also led Sevilla Fútbol Club to third place in the league, equaling his best performance. The 2007/2008 season began with the first Spanish Super Cup for the Sevilla team, and they qualified for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, also for the first time in the history of this club.

Later he accepted a million-dollar offer from Tottenham Hotspur of the Premier League, which made him the highest-paid soccer manager in the world. He was named manager of Real Madrid with a contract until the end of that season. In his presentation, the coach from La Mancha assured that "he is the dream of every coach".

In 2010, he joined F.C. Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. He left the Ukrainian club after four years on its bench. He was presented as the new Malaguista coach, in what would be his second spell as manager of the Martiricos club, signing a three-year contract in 2016. Seven months later, he officially announced that I was not going to continue the bench.
