Jesús Capitán Prada known professionally as “Capi” is an institution as a footballer. Also, he is a coach. He made his debut for the Spanish National Team in a friendly against the Netherlands. He entered the Real Betis Balompié youth academy at the end of the 1980s. He made his debut with the Real Betis Balompié first team at the Mestalla Stadium against Valencia Club de Fútbol in 1997. Shortly after he was loaned to Granada Club de Fútbol to return to the following year to the Sevillian club.

His first goal, with Betis, was scored in 2000. In 2010, Capi was substituted in the second half against Levante Unión Deportiva, serving as his farewell to Real Betis Balompié after 14 years at the club's service. . In the 2010/2011 season, Capi played for Xerez Club Deportivo. In 2012, he terminated his contract and signed for his hometown club, Camas Club Fútbol of which he was also president. Before the end of that season, he received a call from Real Betis to work with the Verdiblanco club's grassroots football team and decided to put an end to his career as a footballer.

With this stage closed, Capi announced that he will be the coach of Real Betis C, the new youth team that will start up again in 2022 after disappearing.
